Ways to help victims of the wild fires in Tennessee

In a World where you can be anything, be kind | Intentional living | Kindness:

I’m pretty sure that, by now, you are all well aware of the devastation caused by the wild fires in our beautiful state of Tennessee.  If you have a kind, caring heart you must be trying to find ways to provide some assistance to the victims of the wild fires.

Here is what I’ve found so far:

  1. You can make a $10.00 donation by texting “REDCROSS” to 90999.
  2. Dolly Parton established a relief fund “My People Fund”to assist the families of Sevier county.
  3. Donate to the Sevier County Humane Society The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
  4. Donate to the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce.
  5. Donate to Save the Children.
  6. Donate to Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless.
  7. Donate the Salvation Army

Monetary donations can also be sent to Citizens National Bank to the Gatlingurg and Sevier County Relief Fund, 200 Forks of the River Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.

Keep in mind that some of the items of must need are non-perishable foods and household items.  Please also keep in mind that many pets were misplaced and they are also in need of donations.

Before you make any donations please verify that the places collecting items and money is a trusted one.  Christmas is around the corner, when you are purchasing toys for your children and items for your pets, how about you pick a little something to donate to those victims. The mountains of Tennessee are beautiful, the land will recover-it’s nature! The people who lives in the Tennessee mountains are people like you and me, who need a helping hand to help them get through this rough times. Let’s come together and help…as much as we can. Pay it forward, and Merry Christmas to all!!!!
