During my research about places to visit for our family weekend getaway I came across Road Side America. Road Side America is an internet site that provides some of the most interesting roadside sites to visit in the USA. All you have to do is enter the state you are interested in visiting and Road Side America will give you a list of some of the most interesting areas to visit. Ares that are not necessarily tourist attractions, but good places to visit and learn.
My upcoming trip includes Mississippi and New Orleans. So far I was able to find a couple of places in New Orleans that I plan on visiting, thanks to Road Side America “Your Own Guide to Offbeat Tourist Attractions” (as they say on their website). The Tree of Life and Scrap House: Katrina Memorial are two of the places I plan on seeing on my upcoming trip.
Go check it out! I mean, why stay and only visit only the tourist attractions when you can stop and visit attractions along the way to your final destination. It’s cheaper and more likely you would get an exciting adventure out of it. I decided to share the site with you all to see what you discover in your neck of the woods. Here is the link: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/ One more thing, if you click on “My Sights” the site will give you an opportunity to plan your trip, create a route with maps with directions you can print!!! So cool!by
