Yesterday I mentioned that I was excited about going to the local Goodwill. Well, I stayed at the Goodwill for two hours…yes, you read it correctly, two hours. I just took my time looking through all the things, usually the books and kitchen stuff grabs my attention. I managed to find some vintage items and actually managed to have a good time. While I was at the store I noticed a large group of elders, they look excited about their little finds…brought a smile to my face.
After leaving the store I decided to take the scenic route instead of jumping on the interstate. I drove by some antique shops and decided to stop at one. I was disappointed…the so-called “antique shop” was nothing other than a market for new vendors. I like new vendors, and I did get somethings, but is not what I had in mind when I walked into the place. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed and a little excited about discovering some local vendors advertising and selling their home-made goods so close to my home.
That pretty much sums up my thrifty adventure. It was fun to say the least. Do you shop at thrift stores? If so, what do you look for when you go?
