Merry Christmas from Mississippi

What a wonderful day!  After the kids woke up, we all sat down in front of the Christmas tree, like we have been doing for years now, to open the gifts.  The kids handed out the presents and it was lovely to see Janie and JJ, wait for the perfect time to open their gifts. One by one the open their presents. The sweet thing is that they hold the gift, then pause, make eye contact, then open the present, sort of at the same time.

They both received what they asked for, and for that, we are thankful.

Jason and I also found some goodies under the tree 🙂

I was not expecting anything! After all, my honey spent so much money replacing my wedding ring a couple of weeks ago and then we also invested in a new “fancy” mattress. But, my “santa” had other plans and I received some things I really wanted!!!

For me, seeing my children smiles is priceless…

Even Little Girl was excited about Christmas…

Then clean up time…

After opening all the presents, we all settled in the living room for an attempted Twilight marathon…we only watched three of the movies and then we took a break…and everybody went about their business.

I hope your Christmas was good, filled with laughter, family and love. Merry Christmas to all of you from a Latin Mama living in the South.

Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano Nuevo!!!
